Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders

This photo of vocalist + guitarist Chrissie Hynde was taken in 1980, the year of the Pretenders self titled album. Tragedy struck shortly after their second album, as the Pretenders lost both their bassist and guitarist to drug overdoses within the space of a single year. Hynde kept the band together and now continues to entertain the masses as well as being a key supporter of PETA against animal cruelty.

'It's a Pirate's Life' was a single released by euro rockers La Seine in 1976, on their debut album 'Like a River'.
