This image of The Selecter keyboardist, Desmond Brown, was taken in the early days touring with Madness. 'Fuck Art Lets Dance' was Madness' motto and between 1977 and 1978 the two bands lived by it, touring extensively under the record label 2 Tone. Madness didn't hang around long after the tour, signing to Stiff records where they successfully released 25 singles and 8 albums recorded between 1979 and 1988, making them one of the most celebrated bands of the 80's.
